Dangers of Breaking Up and Getting the Relationship Back

Relationships that have clear-cut patterns of constant breaking up and then getting the relationship back should be avoid.  Healthy relationships should be full of love, acceptance, and willingness to stick together working through hard times.  If your boyfriend/girlfriend has developed a pattern of being quick to bail when things don’t go their way it might be time to re-evaluate the commitment level.  Breaking up should not be an arguing tactic.

Initiating break ups or separations lightly is a sign of immaturity and lack of commitment.  Allowing someone to jump boat and jump back in whenever they please is never good for personal growth and self esteem.  Although there are exceptions to every rule some who isn’t willing to stick it out with you isn’t usually the best choice for a life partner.

If you find your self in a relationship where love is more of a part time job then a way of life it’s time to sit down, ask your girlfriend or boyfriend some discussion questions.  Often talking about what you are both looking for in the way of a partner, and openly discussing what point in life you feel you’re at, will give you both the clarity to decide between a commitment to stop jumping or getting your own boats.
